This is typically a small amount and is not charged to you the customer, but instead comes from the affiliate marketing program not having to pay for conventional advertising.
Any commissions made are reinvested into site development to ensure a better user experience. I will never recommend an affiliate link for a product I do not use or vouch for myself.
